Rem 700 7wsm Detachable Magazine Conversions

Is there anybody who can convert a Remington 700 chambered in 7mm Winchester Short Magnum to accept detachable magazines (hopefully Badger)? I haven't been able to find anyone. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks, LC

I have a 7wsm with a Stiller Predator action and a closed mag that I have been debating on converting to a DBM.

lc, send your stick to Chris Matthews of Long Shot Rifles. He uses Glenn Seekins WSM detatchable mag bottom metal. The action needs modified as well as your stock but will allow a COAL of 3.15" when done. Not sure how many Glen has left, give him a call.

It should be on the way to me shortly. Glen reworked it numberous times untill he had it working flawlessly. I cant wait to get my grubby paws on it

Scout1, I recently spoke to don@hsprecision.com about this subject. Don says H+S modifies the feed lips on thier .308 magazine to fit the .300 WSM, this should work with the 7mm WSM, I am currently building a tactical rifle using a Remington 700 action with H+S bottom metal and .308 magazine I will report on how well it works.

The Detatchable mag and bottom metal that Glen has produced for the short action WSM cartridge will allow a cyclicable COAL of 3.15 with some minor modification to the action. The AI and AW mags can get you some extra length but nothing like this. I'll post some pictures when it arrives.
