Rem 600 ejector

I have a Remington 600 action that had a broken extractor. It is the rivet-in type. I replaced it and thought that it was working and now it is not ejecting again. It has a brand new ejector and spring. Any ideas, or better yet, any tips on where I could send the bolt to have someone redo it for me?

Was a 600/721/722 extractor riveted in or did someone attempt installing a 700 riveted extractor?

I'd purchase/fit a Model Seven bolt w/ stock snap in extractor prior to cutting & installing a Sako.

It was riveted. I installed the new one myself and it was obviously a failure. I started working and then for some reason failed.

Yes,it was riveted, as were previous 700 extractors.
Some have substituted 700 riveted extractors for 600/660/XP extractors & claim they worked, but the extractor cuts in the bolt face are different & are not interchangeable.

Currently only .532"/magnum bolt face extractors are riveted into 700 bolts.
