Reloading Update with Pics

I told everyone I would come back and post when I knew more of what I was doing. I'm back to share my data on the best load I've come up with so far for my Savage Arms Elite Precision chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. This is my final 8 shots the other day with 1 flyer. I didn't take the flyer into consideration. My MOA at 300 yards was .293.

My Load:

Lapua Brass
Hornaday 140 Grain Eld Match Bullets
IMR 4350 Powder - 39.2 Grains
CCI 200 Large Rifle Primers
CBTO - 2.196
Chronograph Average FPS - 2436

Reloading Tools:

Redding Type S Full Length Bushing Die with Redding. 291 Titanium Nitrate Bushing
Redding Type S Bullet Seater
Imperial Wax

Shooting off an Accu Tac SR5 G2 Bipod

I have no doubt that as I get more comfortable with the rifle my accuracy will increase.

Nice. 6.5cm was a fight for me to make work. Some guys nail it out of the gate, but it took me months to enjoy this caliber.

I too went with the 140s and IMR. Just happened to have an 8 of it in the cabinet and tried it by chance.

You should always consider the flyer as part of the group. Some combinations of caliber, bullet, powder, primer, charge weight, seating depth, brass will result in a flyer every time. You ignore them at your peril. That said, that is not what I would really call a flyer. Not far enough out of the group and it is a nice group for 300 yards. It would result in cleaning an F Class target with ease. An F Class 300 yard target being 1 MOA 10 ring and 1/2 MOA X ring (~3 inches and ~1.5 inches).

So congratulations, it looks like you found a load that works in that rifle. I would say that it is a low velocity accuracy node at 2436. I'm running over 2800 fps in the same caliber in my BAT VR with a Krieger barrel using H4350, Berger 140 hybrid target bullets, Lapua small primer brass and CCI450's. If you decide to look for a higher velocity node be sure to research pressure signs and know what you are looking at before proceeding. Every gun is different in terms of what charge weight the pressure signs will start showing up at. And have fun running down that rabbit hole with the rest of us. :)
