Reloading Room Lighting

I have a number of T-8 fluorescents above my bench. The Chargemaster seems to be unaffected by them.
The color light (6500K) is important to me and I have plenty of bright white light and no shadows. They are ceiling mounted, so there is a fair distance between the bench and the fixtures. They are also on a separate line from the chargemaster.

I just put one of these LED lights with a magnifier on my bench. Very bright and the magnifying glass comes in handy .Does not seem to bother chargemaster or Sartorius'

The simple truth is that RF noise is what can affect your scale, chargemaster etc.
Fluorescent lights of the traditional type with magnetic ballasts and analoge igniters can give out enough of it to be problematic at times.
More modern designs using electronic components like all the T5's and some for T8.
Has a lot less issues with noise, and will not cause any trouble normally. Just mount them atleast 4 feet away.
Having your sensitive electronics on a separate circuit breaker from audio equipment , really old tv's , fluorescents, heavy machinery and most certainly VFD's . Along with using ferrite cores, or even better a proper filter will ensure your scales stay unaffected.

Leds will typically not affect such equipment if you use leds without transformers, the transformers for using 12 or 24 volts, can indeed be quite dirty especially if they are not digital, the led lamps does not emit any noise.

As for light color 6500 k and 4100 k, wihh cool white color is superior for detail work like reloading and a lot of other stuff.

I must be the only one not having any trouble with my fluorescent lights above my Satorious Scale....I never worry about the Chargemaster as it only throws a rough charge for me.
No you are not. I have used them for the last 5 years and they do not affect my GemPro 250. From what I hear, all the bad press about florescence light comes from the older versions of the ballast which are no longer used. Someone with greater knowledge in this area should chime in - oops! Looks like Ares has already done this!
