Reloading press?

Hello all.
I am new to reloading and looking at buying a press and the dies to go with it.
First question is what is the difference between an arbor press and a reloading press?
Secondly, are presses all threaded the same for different brands of dies. I would like a Wilson micrometer bullet seating die and maybe a Harrells full length die.
I would appreciate any advice as I am a little bit lost with the equipment side of things.

Thanks again.

If you are new as you say then it doesn't make a difference which press you buy, depends more on your budget. You will be better off with threaded dies now. I always recommend RCBS to a new loader. Buy a kit. For new guys a Partner Press kit works fine. If you got the bucks the Rockchucker Press kit is about as good as it gets. Either will never wear out and load anything you will buy later. This is just advice. Go at it.

Thanks Stephen, I will look at some kits. Will the Rockchucker work with Redding dies too? From what I have read they seem good quality.
Cheers

I am also looking at a Rockchucker for a update.
Are there any other presses out there in the same price range that would work better?

thanks Link

None that would work any better. Most work the same. Others to look at Redding, Forrester, Lyman, Lee, Dillon.

You are going to be working with dimensions and tolerances. This issue separates re-loaders from hand-loaders. Something to think about and a personal point of view. I do not your passion for the hobby. Lane

I have had a look around and it looks like a rockchucker might be the go. The gunsmith is going to machine the dies for me to suit the chamber. It will be more accurate than I am but that gives me plenty of room to improve so I can hit that fly! :)

I bought the Old RCBS rockcrusher II kit years ago, was a damn good deal with all the stuff. Then Bought a hand primer, redding powder dribler, calipers and redding dies for my calibers.

I noticed my old Rockcrusher is better than the new RCBS press Ive seen .
