Reloading Books/Information

Hello fellow shooters,
I am starting back reloading after many years. I have been buying equipment, supplies, setting up table, etc. I am interested in learning more about reloading especially precision shooting/reloading. I am asking for suggestions for reading material (books, online sites, videos, etc).
Thanks yall,
Jwilliams

I like the Sierra Reloading manual. The new Version 6 contains recipes for many of the newer cartridges. The velocities they predict from a 24 inch barrel are very close to what I am measuring with a Labradar. The front of the book contains a good explanation of the reloading process.

Agreed about Tony Boyer's book. Also Metallic Cartridge Handloading (Sc) M.L. Mic McPherson. Anything now out of print from Fred Sinclair and anything from Precision Shooting also now out of business. I always suggest starting with Phil Sharpe's Complete Guide and other writers who deal with the complete process beyond saying go through specified motions and expect the process to produce good results without understanding. Waters and Hagel and Nonte and Wooters and others who wrote extensively and most importantly at length. More recently John Barsness though with more emphasis on hunting and field use. Zediker had a lot to say with an emphasis on gas guns and said it at length in a personal style.

There was recently a complete collection of Precision Shooting mags in the classifieds for a reasonable price. It may still be there. That would be a goldmine of information. If I had the space for it, it would be here.

Handloader/Rifle magazine used to be the best monthly rag around. It may still be. If you can find a copy of Ken Waters' Pet Loads at a good price grab it. I've read it from cover to cover. Some of the material is dated but the basics are still very relevant. Even in the cartridges I have no interest in ever owning there are little tidbits of wisdom.

I like Bob Hagel's books too. He's a bit of a wildman with some of the combinations though. Proceed with caution, but you can proceed.
