Reloader 25 in a 6x47L

Has anybody tried REL25 in a 47 Lapua case? I've got a 6x47L Improved (Approx. 6XC Case Capacity). I am running a 31" Barrel. I am wondering if the CCI 450 will light around 41.0 - 43.0 grains of REL25!

My first reaction is that RL25 would be to slow.

A quick delve into QL suggests t hat you will struggle to get it all in the case, only 94% of the powder will be burnt and you might struggle to reach 2800 fps!

Why not play with H4350 or RL25. QL suggest the later (40g) will give you 100% burn and 3200 fps...

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for the reply.
I don’t have the QL program and I was wondering what the REL25 looked like in that case capacity. I know that the REL25 is a favorite in the .243AI. I shoot it in my .300 ATLAS and I have about 50# of it. I’ve been shooting the H4350 and at 40.4 gr. the 105 Berger’s are running 3200.

I have played with RE-22 in a 6XC. 43.8 grains is pretty accurate with a velocity of 3150 out of a 28" barrel. 105 gr AMax or Berger. The only problem comes if you try to jump the bullet a little. The base of the bullet gets into the powder column pretty quickly. It also helps to use a long drop tube.

Remember, this is in a 6XC. If I don't use the drop tube, the powder will be at or above the neck shoulder junction when you use a regular powder funnel. You may or may not have that problem in the 6X47. I use the drop tube because I don't like to crunch the powder when seating.
