Reloader 15 in the “X”

How would you'll rate 15 for cleaning up after several rounds ? The reason I ask is that I fired about 12 rounds in a Savage chambered in 6 CM, got it home, thought it would be an easy clean, WRONG, Still not clean, I'm switching to 8208, 4064, or VVN 140
Today I shot the Striker @1K 1st shooting 10 rounds loaded with Varget which produced a nice round group centered in the 10 ring with out cleaning I then shot 10 loaded with R15 which produced a vertical string. Saying all this to say I’m like you still cleaning and looking for some N140. Read between the lines

Yep, I would bet you are loaded too light with RL-15, You had vertical, and it was dirty. That tells you that you need to add powder. jim

Don't know about BRX6, but my load with 15 was the Max. and most accurate load Lyman listed in their "Long Range precision rifle Reloading Handbook" with the 107 SMK bullet. But, looking at all their data, I'm betting they just used chronograph data ie SD & ES for their "most accurate" listing. Listing a most accurate load out of a 223 with a 90 gn. bullet with a 1-12 twist should say something about "most accurate load"

Wayne I posted about how dirty it was on another site I thought it was in my origin post here but was not so I'm with you on that .
I feel this thread is about to make a hard left turn and I'm good with that. johara1 post falls right inline with what I'm doing: temp study/ compare
I first compared Varget vs. R15 in the short barrel X @65 degs. @150 yrds R15 won that round . Saturday it was 50 degs with light rain shooting @1K with the 15 deg drop from what I read I added .2 to the R15 load and.1 to the varget load the R15 was still about 50fps slower than @65 with vertical.
the Varget was about the same as was @ 65 with a nice round group both of these loads would show pressure signs 85-90 degs. Now let me say I'm new at this adjust the load with temp stuff so take what I say with a gain of salt. but one thing I'm sure of it's about as dirty as 2400
lets tale that left turn and talk about load adjust for temp

With Varget, H4350 and H4895 I lost around 1fps. per degree from 60 degrees down to 40 degrees. They all loose don't believe all the BS. They pick up around 10 fps. with a .1 increase in powder..... jim
