I hope you guys see how dirty and temp. sensitive RL-15 is, so take all you have back to the store and trade it for Varget and VV powder. Let me know, so i can run down there and buy it........... :)... jim

And if you get more than you can carry.....gimme a call!! ;) WD

HI Wayne,,,Im still shootin that dirty stuff too....I look at the targets rather than down the bbl...its helped break 3 records for me,,,,I hope nobody likes it!!!haha,,,call me I hav l'ost your ##...Roger

FWIW-I shot nothing but RE-15 in my 308 and never noticed it being that dirty..so from what I have seen so far,I am going to continue using it in the 6br...

As far as a heavy bolt lift-my thought on that is you are using too much powder...

You know point blank shooters load right there at the match, for the condition that relay......... I use RL-15 from 40Degrees to 100 with two loads. They are not that far apart, i do look ahead and see what the temp is going to be. I could use the lower one and use it all year, but the gun will just shoot average when it was cold. You can't load this year for next year with any powder, or the next barrel may not like it either..... jim

It was fine in 50 degree weather, but 70 and up, is when I got the heavy bolt lift.

I can't help but notice that nobody commented on the fact that his groups are 1.25 MOA. Unless this is a lever actioned rifle, or he is shooting off hand, I would be looking at another reason for these groups.

Just sayin,
Tod

Can't speak for the others..... but that was no surprise to me based on my results with varget in my rifle, which is set up similarly to the original poster's rifle. I know that some use it with wonderful results, but I've never been that lucky. ;) WD

After switching to re-15 the groups have been pretty tight..At 100 yards if I am doing my part,it will shoot 8 into almost one hole..
