Redfield scope base?

I have a Sako with the dove tail type scope bases. The rear mount has windage screws and they are missing. Leupold won't work, I tried them. The heads are to large. Where can I get the correct screws???

They usually have that sharp cornered bevel that ends right at the screw head diameter.

Measure the counter bore where the screw heads live and post it. I have some older Redfield bases and may have what you need. There is a benefit to being 71 years of age, you have a long time to accumulate a LOT of stuff (junk).

I think they are called "tap on". I know there weren't any grub screws holding them in place. I'll measure the counter bore. If I remember the thread size was 8-32. The threads on the Leupold were to big.

Look on Ebay, Any Redfield mount of that style the screws should work, Just sacrifice the mount you buy.

I thought I might have something that you could use, but I don't recognize that as being a base that I have.

yeah, I think that is a redfield. like posted above.

I ordered a set of Talleys so I'll be up and going soon. Maybe I can find screws or new bases sometime down the road.
