Redding Type S Neck Bushing Die question

Fe1, are you lubing the outside of the necks before running them into the bushing? Steel & titanium nitrite coated bushings should have a little lube.

Yes with Imperial dry neck lube. I corrected the case OAL. I'm just wondering what part of the case is retracting if the shoulder is not being bumped back by the neck bushing die.

I think some of the folks are confusing the kinds of Type S dies.

There are two. One that sizes the neck only and the other that is a full-length die.

See http://www.redding-reloading.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=118:type-s-bushing-dies .

If you have the first and can't bump the shoulder, that's one thing. If you have the second, and can't bump the shoulder, that's quite another.

In both of my chambers, you can't decrease the bump without also increasing "click".

Take it FWIW,

Greg J.
