Redding Competition Neck Sizing Die question

I am having trouble neck sizing the whole length of the neck, only able to size about half way down.

The neck sizing die micrometer with TiN bushing is at the lowest setting.

Any ideas or suggestions?

NBI,

Loosen the nut holding the decapping rod, then screw the rod into the micrometer as far as you wish. Or just cut an inch or two of the decapping end off the rod. You may wish to do that after making sure you have the spring holder oriented in the correct direction.

Yep, I have a dinky little Lee press set up with a universal depriming die to remove all my standard case primers & avoid putting primer crud on my good equipment. I spun the pin down to suit Lapua flash holes too.

In that case, check your primer pockets from the earlier batch. That decapper hitting hard on the case base can crown the primer pocket hole.

Been there, done that.
