Redding body die shoulder bump adjustment

I found the solid ring that comes with the die difficult to adjust. I replaced it with a Hornady split ring and it works much smoother. I also discovered that looking down from the top of the die at the split ring gap, you are able to line up one of the knurled tits with the gap and use the sight picture for very fine (.0005") adjustments.

That’s a great tip.
I have pretty much switched all my lock rings to the Forster split ones. Something about the aluminum lock ring against the steel press makes it lock up fast and tight.

Andy what do you think the 3 is that is stamped on your rockchucker? Mine has 82 for the year made.

I don't what it's for. I probably got that around '84.
