Red River Regional Marksmanship Center

Good safe place to shoot. Active RO’s and plenty of MSRs.... 100 yards I believe is longest range. Castleton and twin valley go to 300. Glyndon is run by a wannabe policeman. Fergus falls had a range to 800 I think. Pretty nice. The cream of the crop for this region is west of grand forks. South of west Fargo is a mixed range rifle pistol trap. What are you looking to do?

Are any of the other ranges you mentioned indoors?

Looking for indoor rifle range.

Check out their Facebook page it could have more info. Bills gun shop has a 25 yard indoor range.

Talking to my buddy now he seems to remember a 100 yard indoor or covered range there.

Terry, I’ve shot there. It’s a very nice facility. They have 6 lanes. 3 with paper target carriers that you can send out to 25, 50, 75, & 100. The other 3 lanes have electronic targets at 100. Only shot on those once, wasn’t a big fan of the aiming point they had at the time. I’m sure it’s better now. If you prefer to shoot on paper, just bring your targets with. Just clip the paper onto the carrier and send it out. No cardboard backers. If you try, your target will fall out of the hanger and you’ll either have to leave it out there, or call a cease fire and ask an RO to retrieve it. Been there, done that. I use a heavy paper now and get nice holes. I hardly ever have to wait to get on a lane. You are guaranteed an hour if there’s a line. I’ve been down there for 3 hours plus when it’s slow. Their benches are ok. They do have a bit of wobble to them. They are wood with legs and not all the legs are the same length. I usually jam mine up against the wall to help tighten it up. Door shims would work nicely too. The other knock is, if you get a guy shooting next to you with a big boomer, it can shake your crosshairs a little. I just time my shots to his and it works out. RRRMC has done a nice job handling the spray and pray AR guys. They simply throw those guys out if they start rattling off shots. Too much damage was being done to the target carriers. It’s a rare occasion when we get zero wind up here. If we do, either the mosquitos will suck you dry or it’s 30 below zero. The RRRMC is a great option to have, if you’re close enough. Definitely worth checking out if you can. Oh, one other thing. I can’t get my LabRadar to work down there. Not sure why. Too confined maybe?? Anyhow, tried a couple different times and didn’t get one shot to register.

There is voo doo going on down there and is not ideal for tuning loads if that is Terrys plan. But it is a great place to go shoot and have fun when it's -10.

I wish there was more explanation to the VooDoo and not a good place to tune comment. Is it because you like to use the LabRadar for tuning purposes? I’ve tuned center fire rifles as well as my daughter’s smallbore rifle in the tunnels. I’d like to think I get most of those rifles to shoot very good.

Have a membership there last 2 years. TZaun has it nailed. 100m is also an option on the carriers. Second the labradar. will not work, but my magnetospeed works there. not sure the reason the LR doesn't work. Think it is either the lighting or the acoustics messing with the detection. Mine kept picking up hits wo anyone firing.

For the road warriors, each 2nd Sun of the month, a 300m range near Nowthen MN has a 60 shot match shot from a heated "bunker" onto etargets. sweet, but I have to leave at 5am to make the 4hr one way trip to shoot the match. Do load testing during the winter....
