I contacted Bob Green before covid and we agreed on what he would do. I have the action and new barrel, but can not raise Bob by email or phone.
I need a gun smith with the same talent Bob has to barrel this rifle. Anyone have one I can contact?

What kind of time times are most good smiths for doing a shouldered
barrel? (I will supply the barrel)
I'm looking too. Tired of waiting for 4-6 or more weeks and then them saying it will be a couple more.
Need reliable and really good. Or are the good ones that busy?

@WSMNUT @ Old Dominion Custom Rifles is as good as you will find. He has built 4 custom rifles for me within the last year and I have to say he has surpassed any and all expectations with his workmanship, quality, time frames, and prices.

The pic below is my most recent build with Zack.

Lee Gardner precision. Aka skeet lee on here has done 3 barreled actions for me this year and Ive no complaints with any of them. They will outshoot me. Also, he always has a 2 week or less turn around time on barreled actions. Attached is the last 2 lee done for me

Another satisfied LGP customer here. Lee is a great guy and does awesome work. I usually try to stop by and visit when I’m in the area even if I don’t have any projects going. His shop is top notch and always spotless.

The good gunsmiths I know are more like 9-12 months out. You MIGHT get a rush job done in six. If they are a friend you might get one sooner. And that is why I now have my own lathe and a mill.

and don’t forget that fella B.. B.. B sumthin’ .. damn I can’t remember his name... anyways - that guy knows good gunsmiths as well as he knows how to paint a stock.
Bumpkin!!
It has to be if I remember correctly.
