Might want to think about that. Digital avoid potential mistakes by zeroing them out.I prefer only dial type calipers.
I'm wondering how much better the rack and pinion in dial calipers are better than another when both need to travel correctly. I feel that they are subject to more ware and tear than a digital caliper. I have used a dial caliper that jumped its gearing due to some dirt on the rack. Since then several other not so expensive digital calipers lasted a couple of years and lastly I have the I Gaging EZ Cal digital calipers that once zeroed do hold zero. Just my two cents.I need to purchase a new dial caliper for measuring shoulder bump. I prefer only dial type calipers.
What are you guys using / recommend?
Thanks
