Or put it in a krg echo. It has a much better pad and better ergonomics at the cost of a little weight, but that weight might be a good thing with 3006.

Putting it in Gallery of Guns and looking at 100 mile radius from Portage, randomly chosen prior to reading location actually, it gives a few places all showing the same $1129 or $1140 price. So Tikka apparently sets a floor price, $1129 in this case. I have a friend who's also an FFL. I get almost everything through him. Even on things like this he has a better price. You might do better than, was it Fleet Farm?, if you know an FFL to order through. And they don't show the .30-06 as an option for the T3X-Lite when I look it up from Texas so I used .308. Good luck with your purchase.

I ended up buying the T3x Lite 30-06 at fleet farm in wi not far from where i live for $650, was a close out, last one they had, after looking around this was really good price with the addition of being able to pick up myself. Picked it up yesterday, looking forward to shooting it, thanks for your reply.

I hunt HARD in Northern Wisconsin on our private 80 with a cabin. At times I hunt on 110acres in NE WI (open, unlike our predominantly woods at the cabin) which is wide open…
6.5x55 took MOST of my deer over the years (I would say 90%) from 50-450m.
My main hunting rifles (depending on a situation/location/range) are (all 6.5x55): custom Savage 111 (Lady Hunter in 270win as a donor) with Krieger 5R 1:8 24” barrel, Tikka T3 Sporter, CZ550 American. At times Heym SR20 deluxe and Tikka M65 come out.
One from last fall (usually 3-5 deer per season between bucks and doe, also 1 buck is bow, if I harvest 2 bucks ) is pictured. 174m shot from an elevated blind, Savage did the work (140gr Lapua Naturalis)
