recommendation for 308 bullet for Henry mag feed lever action

H-4895 is the best for reduced loads.

You can go as low as 27 gr of H-4895 with 150 gr bullets in the 308 which should yield around 1,800 fps from a 24" bbl. 27 gr would be the bare minimum with 150 gr bullets, and you can go up in charge weight until you get to max published data.

Very interesting information. I have quite a bit of H4895. I will see if I can find load data that matches.

I do not find H4895 load data for the new Speer 308150TMJ bullets . Nothing close to match this bullet. I spoke with Speer. The Gold Dot 150 data is applicable to this bullet. So of the powders I have on hand (excluding Varget which I save for other uses) CFE223 has load data listed. There are other powders just none I have. At .13 cents a round I am sure plinking will be fine with this set of components.
