Yep, that's about it.So the life of that barrel is about 1.06 seconds or thereabouts

Time suspended? I have no idea what you are trying to imply but nobody ever mentioned anything about time being suspended. Newton doesn't say that nothing happens, he just says that the sum of the vector forces equal zero and the rifle wont move while the bullet is in the bore.
Hard to believe we spend so much money for something with such a short use life. Bullets too! MikeSo the life of that barrel is about 1.06 seconds or thereabouts
What's really hard to believe is that a Rimfire BR shooter for one gun will spend approx 54K dollars if he's shooting the really good stuff at a fair price.. to ware out that barrel!Hard to believe we spend so much money for something with such a short use life. Bullets too! Mike
12-15 I believeSo the life of that barrel is about 1.06 seconds or thereabouts
I was rather enjoying this thread. Then comes along a party pooper expecting disciplined responses. Ok, to the OP. All muzzle brakes suck and will make you deaf quickly. Get a 6BR and your life will be all roses and sunshine! What daughter? Were is daughter mentioned? MikeAnother thread gone out into left field. How about some info that might help the OP? I do not think his daughter is going to be shooting a 375 or anything like that. So the question is, how old is she? How big is she? And what do you have in mind for a rifle for her? Something like a .223 or a 243 or something larger? Is she hunting or just getting started in shooting targets? Info like that would help a lot.
Your so right, but since you brought it up...I was rather enjoying this thread. Then comes along a party pooper expecting disciplined responses. Ok, to the OP. I have a.308 that I nicknamed "Thumper" for just that reason. Just received a brake, but have not fired it yet. Results later. JeffWhat Dusty said really came to life for me, I personally hate a 308 because of the snappyness and love the 30-06 because to me it is more of a "shotgun push" and will do a little more. Gary Gore
