72 YO and started shying away from the heavy-hitters in my 60’s. None of my offspring want the recoil/muzzle blast from a 45-70 LG or a 475 Linebaugh SA hunting handgun, sold to good homes. My T/C G2 16” carbines in 414SM, 445 SM and 41GNR#2 with Revolution thumb hole stocks fit the bill wonderfully. Hand loads make it work…took the 41GNR#2 with 240 gr. MBW BHM 22 FNGC to RSA on plains game with wife in 2017, 10 head of game, 6 1-shot kills.
