It's a Savage LRPV with a good 26" long x 12" twist factory bbl that cleans easily and shot 75gr vmaxes very well as a 6br bbl.
My Smith ordered a reamer from Kiff throated for 70 - 80 gr bullets. I am having him trim .100" off the chamber end to ensure that the factory 6br throat doesn't exceed the throat of the Kiff reamer.
It will be something new to play with and I won't have much $$ into it.
This gun should pick up the slack beyond 400 yards where my .223 and 6br begin to tire out in terms of trajectory.
I've got two sets of Redding Comp dies for the 6 br and was kind of bummed when I realized I'd have to buy new dies for the dasher.
Who is the current best source for Redding dies for the dasher?
Thx
Mike
