Disassembly is easy, but I have a devil of a time getting the bolt back in place and getting the spring compressed to exactly the right spot for the bolt to drop down on the bolt handle / crosshead. I know it's cocked when I hold it back by the handle, but haven't figured how to hold it straight from the inside.
Is there a trick or a tool that helps? This is my first 10-22, and I take it apart to get all the crud out of the inside of the receiver and off the bolt nose and the spring / guide rod. There must be an easier way than the way I do it. I average rasslin' with it for at least 5 minutes every time.
Thanks, Tom
