Rear rest for Savage F class stock? HELP!

im searching for a rear bag for my new savage f class. I really dont know on which one to get. i called protektor and dave said that most of the shooters with the savage are going with the doctor bag. I think they are a little too expensive to me. 100 bucks. I was wondering if i could use a protektor mid ear bag with 2 stitches and be good to go. Let me know what you guys think. Good or Bad. Thanks

I use and recommend the Edgewood Minigater. If the Protektor is too expensive, the Edgewood at ~$130 will not help. Whatever you choose, fill it with Sinclair Heavy Bag Sand. A full load in my Minigater weighs over 15 pounds and is as solid as a rock.

FWIW, I shoot a 12F 6BR from a Farley rest with Edgewood front and rear bags and consider it the best that I have ever used. The setup was not cheap and does not perform like it.

Ditto the Edgewood minigator, just get the correct width stitching as the Savage F-class has a wide heel. Works great!
