We had this discussion last season at a small local club. At 300 yards our sighter target is directly above our score target. After sighters and dropping down to shoot for score the first shot would frequently be out of the ten ring. One of our shooters, Jim who is in the benchrest hall of fame spoke with Jack a current benchrester and barrel maker about this problem. They suggested taking some sand out of the front bag. That cured the problem for me...no more frustrating nines on the first scoring shot.
