Rear bag lubricant??

I have an early model Edgewood rear bag without the new super slick 3M material. What is the current best lubricant to slick up the ears? Baby powder, spray deodorant, powdered carnuba wax? Any help is appreciated.

I tried them all- Used dryer sheets (works well, but hard to keep in place ), bag wax -tried once and by end of match it was acting more like stick-em (like stock was riding on rubber), only ever use baby powder or spray deodorant on leather. Before I switched back to a leather rear bag, I would just clean the cordura with a damp rag and brush it real well. I don't like the 3m on both bags-especially for free recoil.

Cut off the lower portion of your wifes ruined panty hose and slip it over the stock.

I like the powdered Teflon.

Several years ago I heard about using Teflon powder also. Bought some from a company that uses it to service pianos. Tried it.....nothing magical....has to be reapplied often. Then I opted not to use the stuff -just too much unknowns about TFE powder and it's acceptance with your lungs and not the holy grail of bag lubricants I was hoping for. FWIW, I have respiratory problems to begin with.

New sheets didn't do well for me. Any moisture left a sticky residue. The used ones work well even though they are difficult to keep in place on a windy day.

Silicon spray on cordura bags for me. Need to be applied well before and allowed to dry off, but not effected by moisture. It might not be super slick, but improves sliding, and more importantly its consistent.

Not sure about everyone else, but I don't like the stock super slick that it feels like it's on bearings. I use a tiny bit of powdered bag wax and run it. You want it to glide smooth, but a tiny bit of resistance. I adjust front bag ear pressure by feel.
