rear aperture extension?

I am dealing with a Williams peep mounted on an INterarms Mauser. Has anyone seen an extended screw in aperture? I can't get close enough to suit me.

Depending on the thread (diameter and pitch), you could have an extension made at any machine shop.

If the thread is the same as modern rear sights (9.5mm x 1.0mm), you can use a rear aperture glare tube like this https://www.champchoice.com/mc-opti...gehmann-rear-sight-anti-glare-tube-25mm-55625

They come in several different lengths, and can be cut down to the length you need.

If your thread pitch and diameter are different, the same principle applies.

Hope this is useful,

Frank
