It's much easier to use a towel dampened with B12.
Its one of the ways I practiced before
Like TIG welding 2 razor blades together when I used to run a Welding business.
Every weld bead I ran, i set out to make it smoother, more uniform and more even than the last one
For Over 15 years, thats a lot of weld beads, and even if each one only improved microscopically, it's still a process of perfecting ones craft or skillset, right?
(Never did weld an aluminum can together but still practiced it with an Aerowave)
---------------
It's just the standards and expectations I uphold myself to
---------------
If something can be done better, then do it better
Do it right, or not at all.
If something can be done "Perfect" then do it perfect, Why not?
---------------
I don't like to settle for mediocrity
---------------
There is a reason we pay for things like SWISS MADE
or GERMAN ENGINEERING
---------------
It's a pride in our work type of thing for me
Some might call me a perfectionist, Sue me, I haven't found where that's against the law

I believe that's better than doing something half @$$ed
---------------
I don't believe anybody should Mfgr anything and simply call it "good enough" but charge the same as others who put out the highest quality, fit, finish, tolerance etc.
Scopes might be a good example of this
--------------------
Let me provide another quick example of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!
I was out at the shootin range, and testing one of my customized 22 BR's
and another guy was there shooting his, home built something or other
he see's my groupings and we get to talking and we both find we each have a lathe and do our gun work etc
And I start laying out tolerances of my rig and things like custom reamers etc
--- And he stops me and says
"You must have your Lathe set up on Concrete then huh?"
My mouth dropped and I ended the convo right there.
(I mean there's ppl who think that just because they simply "OWN" a lathe, that they're a qualified gunsmith)
Not to discouragve anyone from hobby work or learning but, just, I can't even relate conversatioanlly with someone who purposely insists to stay in that realm
------------
and back to Topic, yeah I'd love to be making Reamers for people and start taking orders, if I had the equipment.
