Ready for Trump Copper Tariff?

I'm puzzled, what did we get?
Mexico and Canada had already agreed to increase their border security. On the other hand, the US agreed to reduce firearms going to Mexico which was largely going to the cartels.
The reason for a tariff on Canada was drugs crossing the border, but the data shows more illegal drugs and firearms cross into Canada from the US than from Canada into the US.
Since a great deal of electrical power is supplied by Canada that power the North, it would be very costly to the US if Canada put tariffs on electrical power.
You’re making way too much sense. We don’t operate that way.

Once " Drill Baby Drill" is up and running, everyone will see it all come together in all areas of our financial concerns. I think more and more of our shooting components will also be made domestically.

Regards
Rick
The oil and gas industry very recently said they don't plan to increase production as it would not be cost effective. There is a limit to how much they can sell and increase profits.

The tariffs will be on incoming, not outgoing, from what I see. So we have plenty of brass, etc made in the USA to work with. If you want out of USA brass, then you should pay more.
Maybe the USA will rise again, instead of everyone buying offshore stuff.
Still D-Day at Normandy. The Canadians went in at "Juno" and lost
about 1100 men. All allied forces had their assigned parts. Omaha
was not the only beach shedding blood. Lets keep that all out of
conversation to keep this thread alive......
I have been too Normandy twice, so far in my life. If you want a sobering experience, go the various beaches the Allied forces landed on, Canadians and others along with the USA and view the cemeteries and the markers of those that did not survive the landings.

The bill Trump will sign if it passes the Senate not taxing my social security will easily cover the price increase of copper. There were no votes for this bill from one party.

Let's look at the big picture in 4 years and see where we are for all the changes coming.

Don't expect instant gratification. Pain will be involved.

Later

Dave
While this may sound like a popular idea, it is a very regressive bill that benefits the wealthy more than lower income individuals.

Many people who live on Social Security are in a lower tax bracket and may not be required to pay any income tax now. The wealthy on the other hand, and in the upper bracket will save money.

Give Trump at least six months to get us headed in the right direction. It will take a bit to correct the direction and the effects this last administration/regime had. Remember where we were at the end of his first term, things were pretty dang good and they will be again. He can’t fix the issues in a month. As far as tariffs he is always 2-3 move ahead of everyone else.
You remember things different than I do.
At the end of his first term, schools were closed, many place had closed their doors, nearly a million people died from Covid, and the Government was sending out checks to help people survive.
I just didn't see that as pretty dang good.

When fuel prices are the highest which party is in the W.H?
They can sell alot more if we don't import oil correct? To the tune of 8.5 million barrels a day.
If gas is 2.00 when Trump is in office sure there not gonna have the profits at 3.50 or more so what answer do you expect them to say

We definitely see things differently and now we know where Covid started too. I’m sure we will learn even more in the coming days, hopefully those responsible face charges. I think most Americans would agree that the his first term was better than the last four years. If you don’t that’s ok, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Additionally, I imagine if your happy and content with the past four years, non existent borders, billions going to our enemies and who knows where else $$ went - and on and on and on, the your probably disappointed now. Thank the heavens for DJT! An imperfect man at the perfect time. Probably the only man that can stand up to the deep state. Certainly the only president to lose wealth instead of gain it by several folds.

Knowing me it’s hard to believe I spent more than 2 minutes watching this main message board thread but alas, I did.

Trump won, elections have consequences and now we get to see what the next 4 yrs brings AND uncovers about the previous 4 year administration.

Think I’ll wander over to Bruno’s site and ponder a new BAT action or maybe scopelust and check out a “demo” 15-55 NF Comp for less than what some on here are selling them used w no box.

Lotsa options

My memory clock tells the same time as yours Bro. The prior admin made a huge mess of this country and it will take some time to bring things back to where it was when the cheaters came in. Hard to even imagine an idiot could do the kind of damage he brought on the country.

Your memory and facts are in conflict, you should probably check your statements.

Trumps first term ended January 21. The 1 millionth covid death did not occur until the spring of 22.

Most schools had gone back to school in the fall of 20, and many more opened the second semester, more or less as Trump was leaving office January 21.

Example here’s a map of Texas September 2020.

As for the chaos created by forced government shut down of businesses and the stimulus checks, I think everyone in hindsight will agree it was poorly handled. To deny many of these poor decisions were do to election year campaigning for anyone on the ballot and for all involved Would not be truthful.

I gotta say i'm thoroughly impressed thus far with what he has done, other than Pam Bondi, who has made more than a few questionable statements, everyone else seems top notch. Kash, RFK jr., Tulsi and many more. The chess board you speak of is set indeed. I think its set well, and everyday i'm seeing something that im happy with as far as DOGE and how much they have cut already. time will be the ultimate test of whether or not this administration is true to its word, but they are off to a fantastic start.

If you havent, id reccomend listening to the Shawn Ryan podcast with Kash Patel on it, or a Rogan podcast with Tulsi, or RFK. jr. these people arent playing around.
So, how do you think Pam will stack up against Merrick Garland?
