RE15.5

Finally got to the range, best groups showed up at 33 grains @ 2985 fps so no real increase in fps however my groups were much more consistent if that makes sense, tight little clover leafs, I felt much better about them than my Varget groups
it would seem this powder is an excellent substitute for Varget…….

Would you share your lot # ?

PV has singles & jugs of 15.5 for 489/jug through tonight. Hazmat waived, but shipping is high & they charge taxes.
Ends at midnight. I like in 6 GT, 6 bra

Dasher here with Peterson brass,105 hybrid and mid 31 grain range of 15.5 does very well. It's running 2920-2925 out of 26" - not as fast as some, but does well at that.
Keep an eye on Bruno's and you can get an 8 lb. TYD for less than $ 500.

I just started using it and im very impressed , been using it at 32.5 w/ berger 105 vld target 33.0 w/ 108 vld hunting . Consistent results. Im very pleased

I'm pretty sure you're going to end up with a full case and, perhaps, then some. 15.5 is a little slower than Varget and it is bulkier. Do you have a drop tube? If not, you might want to get one or make one. I use arrow shafts.

The good news is I don't think you can get enough in the BRA case to get in trouble. I like that in a powder.
Does anybody incorporate the vibratory tumbler, or anything similar, to settle the powder instead of a drop tube? It seems when I touch the charged case to the tumbler while it's running, it settles it down a great deal.

Hey, if it works, go for it! Have you ever had any powder get juked out of the case when doing that?

I have been using this for 2 years. It will drop you powder by a noticeable 1/4 inch.
you can put your entire reloading block on it and adjust the amount of vibration 2 different ways.
It works very well for compressed loads...in fact they arent compressed after using this. LOL

Actually no, I haven’t spilled any powder because I am careful to handle them slowly, and put them in the loading block, which is duct taped temporarily, to the Tumblr lid. I think this works much better than a drop tube.

That is a great idea! Even better than using the tumbler.

Your reply and those that came in after have convinced me to try it. Thanks a million!

I use a flat top paper jogger It’s way overkill but I got it at work for free I original used it to sift plastic buffer into shot column whe reloading shot shells for hunting / long distance works good for that too

Thank you for this recommendation. I just ordered one. Such a simple remedy.
