RCBS warranty

Times have changed since buyout. Gone is the lifetime warranty on some things. Sent a message saying my primer pin is worn and am in need of a new one. Go a 10% coupon and no response. Called on Thursday and was told it is a wear part and no longer warranted. She said a replacement is $9 and some change plus shipping. After a little bitching, she said as a courtesy she could send me one if I paid the $7.00 shipping charge. Ok,rant over.

RCBS has been outstanding over the years in the warranty dept. rarely needed but they sent me replacement rams for a priming tool they quit making years ago. I’ve been using that tool for three decades and they replaced the rams 3 times with no charge. The parts aren't expensive but it was nice. Hate to see that change but it is what it is, it was nice while it lasted.

Some time ago….busted a kinetic bullet puller

Called them….no problem send it back to us…so I did

3-4 weeks later I had a replacement

Yes they’ve tightened up on warranty issues

The last time that I broke one, I called and told them. They just asked for my address and sent out a new one. The same with a couple plastic parts from a hand primer.
It’s been a couple years since I’ve had to contact them.

They sent me some Piggyback parts to the UK FOC and the postage was more than the parts were worth. I'm happy to pay for the parts. I'm more concerned about not being able to get spares. I hope they maintain the quality.

I've had an Ammomaster since the early 80s. Put more rounds on it than I can count. Anyway I called RCBS about getting a few parts replaced in early 25 I think. They sent me a complete rebuild kit of parts for it at no charge.

Are you talking about decapping pins?

got a RCBS media separator from midway, basket latch wouldnt stay closed. called them, got a complete new unit in a week. I think they still have pretty good CS, I'd pay shipping for a new part. Dillon does the same thing, broke the latch on the media basket, $9 shipping for a free part.

RCBS NOT for me. Anymore !!!!
First reloading equipment was RCBS 1964
Through the decades their customer service beats everyone.
I’ve watched these RCBS posts appear here periodically claiming lots of problems including a die that was drilled with a curve in it. That’s machining beyond my abilities!
Have needed a few things ( I lost most) and they were replaced promptly with no change or shipping.
Until I personally experience poor service from them I’m staying with RCBS

As they should, many took unfair advantage of their good will and shipping costs have risen exponentially. It's $.78 for first class mail and USPS wants to raise that to $.90 - $.95 in 2027.

Limited lifetime warranty still exists - https://rcbs.com/Warranty/

The parts they sent me could have easily been sent in a first class mail envelope but they STILL charged me 7 bucks shipping.
