RCBS Rangemaster 750

I have a problem in that my unit seems to drift. I called RCBS and the tech had me tap it till the "LO" code came up and then tap it 50 times till it read 0.0 , recalibrate it and shut off and wipe down with an anti-cling sheet used in clothes drying.
I did all of that, restarted, re calibrated and loaded 3 rounds and the scale reading went from 148.8 to 149.1 .

I loaded 23 rounds to a scale reading of 24.0 Gr, on the 24th round I loaded to a scale reading of 24.0 Gr. All to this was done with the aid of a trickier. Shut the unit off restarted it , re calibrated it and took the pan off and poured the powder from the 24th round into the pan, placed it on the scale and got a reading of 27.1 Gr.
So in 24 rounds the powder charge increased by 3.1 Gr.
I have it unplugged for the night and plan to try 6 or so rounds test tomorrow.
Anyone have any ideas????????
Thanks for you input.

I have essentially the same scale on my Chargemaster and found that leaving it turned on forever works best. Wipe the whole thing down with a drier sheet or spray with some commercially available anti-static spray (lightly according to instructions, don't soak it).

I note the weight of the pan by zeroing without it on the platform, then placing it on the scale. Mine weighs exactly 157.5 gr. When I measure out a charge, then remove the pan, I see if the scale shows -157.5 gr. If so I proceed. If not, I dump the powder back and use a check weight to see if there's been any "drift". My scale has been turned off exactly 4 times since I started using it almost 4 years ago. Once when I moved my reloading setup and 3 times for power outages.

I calibrate before loading sessions and don't seem to notice any annoying drift. That said, I have gotten into the habit of pressing the zero button fairly regularly, not just on this scale but my Dillon D-Terminator as well.

Well the next morning I called RCBS and told them my problem and the guy said to send it back and they will ship out a replacement unit in about 2 days after receipt of my unit.
