RCBS PRIMER POCKET CLEANER

I have been using the RCBS primer pocket cleaner which is the one that is that is is like a small wire brush and i am finding that whilst it is cleaning the pocket extremely well it is also removing very small amounts of the brass, will this affect anything after several uses of the case or is it negligble.Cheers Steve

I use that brush on my case prep center and never noticed any brass before. The residue on the green monster is uniformly black. You're sure it's not coming from trimming operations? Or could your primers be shaving the pockets on their way in? Hard to seat? -Rod-

I use a Sinclair uniformer to clean pockets - It's much better than a brush, especially in the corners. I always see at least a few flecks of brass removed after each firing, indicating that the pocket gets shallower. I'd expect that removing minor amonts of brass wouldn't be a problem for you, since it's made up by brass flow.
