RCBS charge master????????

I have been searching for a while now, looking for a faster way to weigh charges, but still just as accurate as my scales. I have been using an RCBS uniflow but would never trust it without checking the charge as I have found it too easily be out as much as 0.6g, I have looked into better powder measures but the general opinion is that they are not much better than what I use, not enough to justify cost anyhow. I was about to give up and just continue with what I was using until I started looking into Electornic dispeners, I looked at these a while back but from what I understood they were not up too much, however I recently stumbled accross the article on the 6mmbr archive about the RCBS chargemaster, its seems like it is actually a good one, anyone got any experience with them before I take the plunge a buy one?

My RCBS electonic scales work fine and I would hate to be without them, but I would not give one nickel for the dispenser.
It will work for a few cases but then start drifting. Then you have to go back and start over with calibration. That is a pain in the butt so I just don't even try using them at all. Others say that theirs work fine so maybe I just have a bad one. Don't know.
I can dip my powder quicker anyway. Bill

There has been alot said. I have been a busy boy over the holiday. So far well over 500 rds loaded, .45acp, .223, 22-250.

The best tricks I have heard and a VERY LARGE THANK YOU to the straw idea only 5 or so over charges. Sprinkle a couple 3 kernnels off and bump the trickler if needed. The other one is wipe everything you can get to with a anti-static sheet from the clothes dryer box.

I have checked and rechecked the scale pan variance on the 10-10 balance beam and can not see the .1 grain difference in charge if there is one.

I only shoot out to 400 maybe 500 on a woodchuck now and then. I can not see the difference on 200yds at the range with my .30 cals or the 22-250. .223 AR is new and still playing with the loads and breakin.

I love my RCBS Charge master 1500. It works great so long as you have it on a stand not attached to your loading bench that your press is on.You can't have a fan on either, because the scale is very sensitive. You don't want florescent lights near the scale either as they will affect it. Mine will charge within .0001+- every time.

I think what he's saying is you're off a few decimal points... common reloading balance beam scales like what you're using are +/- 0.1gr... not 0.0001. I've got a Chargemaster 1500,+/-0.1gr), a Redding #2,+/- 0.1gr, and an Acculab VIC-123,+/- 0.02gr). I'm pretty doggone sure you're not seeing 0.0001 grain from a Chargemaster, sorry.
