RCBS Charge Master will not calibrate accurately

Update, CM 1500 is now working and back to normal. Verified with my other electronic scale and 10-10 scale. I hope it lasts. Probably just my lucky day.
I applied a number of short blasts of compressed air to the opening where the scale platen sets and where the power cord plugs in. Also tapped (with knuckle) on the scale housing while holding in different positions, and applied additional bursts of compressed air. Never did hear any powder kernels rattling around. Reattached the scale and dispenser, leveled everything and powered up. Let it warm for a good 30 minutes as I normally would. It calibrated as it should and dispensed set charges with no issues.

If it quits down the road, I will post.

Current update,
Just finished loading 101 rounds for a match next weekend, the Charge Master is still working as it should. all loads thrown were with-in 3 or 4 kernels or less of my target weight.

Luck is still on my side with it.

I sent my Chargemaster to Lone Mountain Communications in Jan 2019 because it was well beyond the warrantee period. They tested & fixed everything for $125. It has been working great ever since. The repair money was well worth it.

Old thread, but haven't seen this answered with a real fix. Mine was out of warranty and would not calibrate using the procedure from the manual. So, I opened the scale and inside there is a lock and adj switch. I moved the switch to adj, calibrated the scale, moved the switch back to lock, and then closed it up. Verified it would calibrate again. I measured the powder output and verified it with a second scale. Worked perfectly.

Good info, mine is still working. No issues since but, I will keep your fix in mind if it goes crazy will not calibrate.

I have one but always wondered why they made it 1500 grains.
