RCBS and Savage customer service

after 3 years use my charge master went south. The scale would add weight on it's own with an empty pan. Called RCBS & was told to send it back w/ a check for $45 ( way out of the year warranty ), and they would repair or replace it.I tracked it thru UPS, they got it on a monday and 5 business days later a new replacement was out the door to me. The replacement carries a new 1 year warranty. You can't ask more. A word about Savage. I had to return the first LRPV 22-250. Issues w/ extraction & the trigger.Savage sent me a UPS call tag, repaired it and had it back in 31/2 weeks.Again a class company. The 22-250 shot so good , i bought a second LRPV in 6mmbr..which shoots great. Both RCBS and Savage are class companies. I read some of these posts on savage and know that a call to customer service would do a lot more to correct the situation, then bashing posts. no one should be afraid of purchasing products from either of these companies.

I emailed RCBS about which power adapter my chargemaster takes two weeks ago and they just sent me a new one. I was very impressed although I bought one at Radioshack anyway because I could not wait the 3 days ;D.

I think a lot of guys get bent out of shape when they get outshot every once in a while by a $1000 rifle and vent against Sav. A similar mindset is how people say "Lapua brass" like it is magical. Every time someone says that when I say I shoot different types I ask if they sort theirs. They hardly ever say they do. They say "I don't have to. It's Lapua." :-\ Sorry for the mini-hijack-rant.

My chargemaster did that deep in last year's winter but since I've moved and leave it on all the time it hasn't drifted at all. Good to know it will only be $45 when she goes belly up.

Ditto on the good service from RCBS--had an older set of pistol dies that decap on the second stage--called them ad asked how much it would be to convert the dies to the first stage decap--They sent me the parts for free--Nothing but the best in service

It is so nice to see something positive among all the meritless complaints,Not all complaints but some for sure.
