Range Box

I really like the looks of this one. A friend of mine has a rolling box that he uses shooting Smallbore that I've always been envious of. This has a fold up table when opened.

Except for what's on my work bench I keep all my cleaning stuff in a small tackle box. Plenty of small compartments. Brushes from 17-338, jags, swabs, patches multiple sizes, small tools, bore guides for multiple actions, cleaning solvents, abrasives, etc. Milk crates are good for oddball stuff.

I use these and they are quite rugged and work well. I now have two! The handle slides in and is out of the way. Around $50 online.

I'm waiting for someone to show a pic of truck with passenger seat taken out and reloading bench installed in its place.

I'll agree with Dusty; keep weight down on individual items/containers, but a carriage to hold them all for to and fro. Something that will be used at home for storage too, since there's no forgetting, just grab and go.

Tackle box for cleaning supplies and small items and I have a large tote for other items, but unsure can't pick it up when filled. I'm liking lots of the presented solutions so far and rethinking my approach.

Lol , I used to carry a large duffle bag to the range that had my stuff but it seriously got to be to heavy.... I decided to pick up a small back pack to carry just the things I needed to shoot pistols , since I shoot them more... Then it got heavy over time.. Everytime I load up I ask myself when was the point that I started needing all this crap to go shoot... The problem is if you take stuff out you will undoubtedly need it next time... I can only imagine if I was competing like some of you... I think I would end up with a trailer behind my truck...

Jump forward to this year and I started shooting skeet... I decided to buy an ammo box that holds a hundred rounds of shotshells and some grease for the over/under , and thought OK , that's all I need... The other day I thought , man I should shoot my pistol while I am here but didn't bring my pistol bag... Now there's some thumbtacks and about three targets in my shot shell box... That's how it starts I thought to myself when I was putting it in there... The tackle box to replace the canvas bag to keep cleaning supplies in is a great idea and I am fixing to go find one... That bag is also overflowing with crap..

I have one of these and it is a dandy. I do not use the cleaning cradle, I use a different one.
For keeping cleaning supplies organized and my tools handy, it is perfect.

Addendum to my first post. I carry all my stuff into the range using a plastic wagon. I think it's a Gorilla wagon, medium size. Guns, targets, bags, ammo, sodee pop.. target camera etcetera etcetera

Was wondering when the tackle box idea would show up. I use the same. Huge top that has a hinged lid for patches in bags, bottled cleaning liquids and aerosol cans of oil, scrubber etc. On the front are drawers with several small compartments on each drawer. Jags, brushes, extra rings, bases, bolt handles, bolt bodies, bolt parts, screws, Allen wrenches, etc etc. One bottom tray with larger compartments for bore guides, cleaning rod kits and other larger items. I still carry a range bag (large) that carries all my shooting gear. My range is a drive up type meaning back my truck up to the concrete benches and unload or work from truck. Maybe 20' from shooting bench's to truck bed.

Because of some work I do for certain people I have a medical backpack with six pullout interior compartments. I assembled a tool kit. Allen, Torx, pliers,wrenches, torque handle, files, break cleaner, a can of dust off, drill bits, screws, mag lip tool, batteries, range finder, Kestrel, etc, etc. Added an outside bag to hold hearing protection. I take it everywhere I have a gun. Someone always needs a hammer.

Well mines not either. Mostly just embellishing as it's a large tackle box with 4 trays and an open top but plenty big enough for all my rifle/gun cleaning items. I refill patches as needed as they go fast.

I have to go to range to shoot whether at a range or a match and have forgot many things along the way so what to do with cleaning supplies , targets , spotting scopes , rest and all of the things one might need ?
1 build wooden ? aluminum boxes for each of things above .
2 throw every thing in big bag and throw it over your shoulder and take off .
3 Other Ideas !!

I use the plastic milk crates they sell at Walmart, etc for $4-8. I have a bunch of plastic ID card blanks ( but anything would work) Which i punch a hole in and affix to the side of the crate with caliber or Gun SerNo so i can put the loads etc in it and when that gun goes, i load up that crate.
I have some for range Admin stuff like the Wind Flags, staplers, pasters etc

with the smallish box on top. Rest, rear bag, and targets go in the bottom (along with ammo, now that I think about it), and tools, cleaning supplies, assorted range gear, etc go in the top. It takes an additional top box if needed, and I think there's a deeper top box available for it.
