I have to go to range to shoot whether at a range or a match and have forgot many things along the way so what to do with cleaning supplies , targets , spotting scopes , rest and all of the things one might need ?
1 build wooden ? aluminum boxes for each of things above .
2 throw every thing in big bag and throw it over your shoulder and take off .
3 Other Ideas !!

I currently have 3 wooden boxes 16 X 16 X 30 that holds most things . Help with Ideas Thanks Jason

RANGE BOX.jpg UNDER MATT.jpg INSIDE.jpg I bought a plastic trunk at Tractor Supply. Incorporated a Sinclair Cleaning frame, where the frame is held on the lid with fishing rod clamps that I bought at the local marina boat supply shop. The various parts for the cleaning cradle are held on the inside of the lid with bolts and wing nuts.

Inside the box my PMA shooting matt and the seat for my drimmers throne are on top. Than below is my cleaning equipment, my Bald Eagle Rest and Bags, Glasses and Hearing Protection etc.

I have a separate case for my SED NEO rest and another box with my target cam, tripods, spotting scope, ammo blocks, wind flags, bench umbrella, barrel fan, weather station and seat frame.

I discovered many years ago to get something that I could place all my gear in one container so I wouldn't forget something which is even more important now that I have a senior brain or lack thereof.

I purchased a Craftsman tool box, polymer / plastic type, which is light weight, water proof, and holds all my essential gear, i.e. ammo, stable gun w/ extra stables, markers / mechanical pencil w/ spare lead, small note book, ear muffs & ear plugs, spotting scope w/ tripod, targets, small tool kit, and shooting gloves (for winter shooting).

My requirements are probably a lot less than some but the important point is to get something large enough to hold all your essential range gear - it will save you a lot of frustration.

In addition, I have a field compartmentalized bag that holds all my essential hunting gear and another one for my pistol range gear.

My range box is just that. It is a clear tote with a flip top. I had one of the heavy duty black ones for a while. The clear one allows me to see where something may be hiding.
Cleaning supplies, screw driver set, bench block, jags, vise grips, steel three piece cleaning rod (2) one is for knocking out stuck cases, punch set pretty much everything I have on my bench at home. This stuff all stays in the tote, it isn’t used at home, range only.

I did run across a fair bunch of trays with lids like you will see in tackle boxes. They are handy to keep small items in. Q tips, lube and grease are other things I keep as well.
You can make it as big or small as you like. I started with the basics and added to it as I saw fit.

I like that plastic trunk it will hold bottles up rite and seems to hold every thing well and I could get a couple for targets ect. I thought that was the way to go but when I saw the mobile shooters suite I will have to admit that might be the ultimate Shooting Range Box !!!!!!!!!
Albany Mountain That is very nice !! Thanks for the ideas Jason

Prolly Amazon or some interweb order. I wish I had the big tires. The little ones dig in the rocks.
But It does store on top of the boxes in truck bed with bed cover when traveling. Don't know if big tire would fit the same.

I have a Stanley tool box I use for F-Class matches. It is waterproof, holds everything I need, and makes a great seat as well. You can see the top of it in the photo below from when I was shooting Berger SW Nats.

It is this one: https://www.stanleytools.com/produc.../28-in-fatmax-structural-foam-toolbox/028001l

I have been eyeing the new Milwaukee packout system with wheels.
I really like Milwaukee products, but the plastic wheels on that pack out system get terrible reviews because of breaking.

When I shot BR I used a big roll around tool box that I bought at Lowe's. It held everything except the rifle and set of wind flags and poles, and that worked well except for one thing - that box can get really HEAVY, so don't risk your back if that is a possible issue.

While this is not mine, it IS my all-time favorite solution to travel and reloading:

I leave all my range equipment in the back of my car. Otherwise I will get to the range without something important. Spotting scope, shooting jacket, bipod, rear bag, shooting pad etc. Everything except rifle and ammo.

That is exactly why I have 3-4 separate boxes. And I can tell if I've missed something cause I know what's in each box !

I just went through this actually, kinda fun for me lol.

The best system I’ve found so far is the multiple boxes as suggested .. that stuff doesn’t move in and out of .. one for each rifle/discipline or process within your routine. Get a list for each box if you are more neurotic than most.

The best boxes I’ve found are Brute Totes made by Rubbermaid. Steve Theye (Benchrite) makes a rangecart specifically designed for the Brute Tote. That cart is slicker than owl shit and ya could carry a shitload of owls with it too, baby is stout. You can then stack them and place on the cart etc. Other boxes/totes are nice - sportsman’s trunk - from Plano is pretty nice. But ya still gotta get ‘em from the house to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the bench. Hernia surgery is expensive. That’s where the/a range cart shines. So my advice is to find a transportation solution that works for you then get multiple boxes to support that system.

Kind regards,
Greg
