Questions on Savage Rifles

My complaint about Savage is one not in this thread, but the lack of aftermarket trigger support. I have two Savage actions and I shoot left handed. One is a left hand 6.5x284 repeater now heavy barreled and in an aftermarket stock. The other started out as a 6br right handed, now is re-chambered to 6XC on a solid bottom target action single shot. My big complaint about Savage is that the triggers are just OK, but not what my 700 clone trigger is in trigger pull weight and in crisp release. I shoot regularly at 1,000 yards and the Savage triggers do not help but frustrate me. The 6.5x284 has been hardly shot since I re-barreled it and restocked it. I attempted to find a left hand trigger for it, never found one. The 6br, now 6xc shoots well, and the trigger is slightly better than the 6.5x284 but nothing like my 700 clone. I will gladly sell either of them (not give them away however).

The Accutrigger, particularly the Target version is pretty stinking good. But if you want something else, Timney and RifleBasix are top of the line. Of Course there are all kinds of spring kits you can use as well.

As far as left handed, I know the Bottom Bolt Release is ambidextrous so it will work on right or left hand models, the top bolt release models were all the same too I thought, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there are no left handed triggers cause they are all ambidextrous.
