I have been searching high and low. The big feature I will not budge on is that I want the larger paddle type mag release. Its what I am used to and its just easier for me to push with my thumb and pull my magazine out. The ones I have seen and liked are either out of stock or have small mag releases.Search the internet on DBMs that take AI mags
I looked on one of mine but it doesnt have the brand on it. I cant remember what it is... Im no help. Looks like lots moved to the "tactical level PRS style" right now. I didnt get the idea to do this build till I bought a Savage rifle from a buddy that turned into a total waste of money. I was disappointed to say the least. I really like Savage rifles. So my first shout out goes to him. Thank you Backstrap Bob.
My next thank you goes to Phil at Sterling Precision. These guys have been great to deal with. They had the reciever the barrel and the stock to me three days after placing my order. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in building a rifle. Huge stock of parts. Ask for Phil. He will get you fixed up.
My next thank you goes to Mauser for finding my bottom metal for me. I really do appreciate the help. And to 338 dude for talking me into the trigger. Its a sweet one.
Last but not least I want to thank my gunsmith Steward Cole. The man is a rifle genius. It doesnt matter what kind of rifle it is. This man knows his stuff and takes the utmost pride in his work.
