Questions on Burris Zee rings

I have read many of the threads here. I am wanting to make sure what I want to order will work.

Looking at Burris signature zee rings high matte finish 30mm
MPN 420587

What I am not sure
Will these fit on picatinny rail (online sales states weaver mount)
Will the height HIGH work for my rifle and scope.

Just purchased a Ruger PR 6.5 Creedmoor

Ordered scope today

Leupold VX-3i LRP 6.5X20X50 30mm

Hoping for some good responses before I order the Burris rings.

Thanks
Tom

I have a NF 12-42 BR on a Savage PTA, 20 MOA Pic Rail, with the High Signatures, #420587.
The 56 objective, and bolt clearance is Perfect.
I would not want Medium, or Extra High, on this particular combo.

Weaver rings will almost always fit on a Picatinny rail, but not vice versa. I use Signature Zee rings on Picatinny rails with no problems.

Thank you all for your replies ...

NZVarminter ... your reply made me stop and check if I was buying what
I really wanted. Now that I looked ... I am wanting the XTR rings.

On Burris site they list three heights for the 30mm rings 1.0, 1.25 and 1.50

I am thinking I need the 1.0 height.

Burris does list two different XTR rings, one with inserts and one with out.
I want the one with inserts.

I am wishing I had a MPN to give to my local gun shop, to make sure I am
ordering the correct rings.

Tom58,

Before you go for the XTR rings be advised that while they were intended to be self-centering on the rail this is not true of all rails and makes for some tricky bore sighting if not truly centered.

For your 6.5 Creedmoor the recoil is probably light enough to not matter, but at least mount the Burris Signature ring bases so that one cross bolt is tight against back of the rail grove and the other against the front of the grove. If I'm mounting them on a heavy recoiling rifle, I shim rail grove to prevent the cross bolts from moving under recoil.

For Burris Sig Zee rings, 'medium' is actually low, 'high' is actually medium (50-56mm obj depending on rail), and 'extra high' is extra high. If you have a 50mm objective don't buy the 'medium' without measuring first.

My local gun shop could not order the size I need.

Called Burris they suggested I need the 1.5 height for Ruger PR with
the 6.5x20x50mm scope.

Then I saw where opticplanet had the rings listed on eBay ..
So I made the purchase.
