In short range Benchrest, holding point of aim, or impact, is heads above any other consideration. Nothing else is even close.

I have the Valdada 12-52x56 and not use to the FFP reticle, will be shooting my first ever 500 yard match this coming Saturday so I'll see!! Oh, the 1/4 MOA, I've always had 1/8 but just a small difference. In short range group you’ll see a good bit of March, Valdada 36 and 40s, some NF 42s and a few Leupolds.
Personally I’d stick with a March or Valdada.

Nope, the 12-42 is heavier than the 15-55 and the regular 42I think you've been given some bad information
Good luck at the match. That’s great scope I’ve got a Terminator and a couple of 10x60 Precisions that I really like.I have the Valdada 12-52x56 and not use to the SFP reticle, will be shooting my first ever 500 yard match this coming Saturday so I'll see!! Jackie, I have the 36X version. I shot it all last season on my Panda VFS gun.Jim Moore had one of the 45x Sightrons at the range yesterday.
I looked through it, and it looked great.
This is the first time I have seen one, even though they have been out for some time.
It only weighs 20.5 ounces, a big plus when building a LV Rifle. You get ED GLASS for less than $1200.
Anybody shot any matches with one of these?
I have some buddies who shoot them at club matches and see the odd one at registered sr group shoots.Jim Moore had one of the 45x Sightrons at the range yesterday.

I have one on a rimfire and like it a lot. Brighter than a NFComp to my eyesJim Moore had one of the 45x Sightrons at the range yesterday.
