question on small ring mauser

Have small ring Mauser with double set trigger with the markings2.75g.Gbp over stmg it has a crown with a N under it. and a funny looking crown with a plus sign on top. I would like to nake it a 6mm remington. Is it strong enough.

I wouldn't do it. I have a small ring that was a 6.5x55. I rebarreled it to the same and started handloading for it. It definitely did not like any loads that even began to go over factory spec pressures. No problem for me as it was a starter rifle for my son. Kimber of Oregon rebuilt a few in the .308 class of cartridges and I believe they had some pressure issues.
If you hand load and watch for pressure signs, go for it. I do not believe you will achieve the velocity you are looking for with that action though.

I seem to remember those they were mexian mauser I built one on a swede barrel 6.5x55 and it work great. ,but this action is german commerical mauser from early 1900. With I believe nitro proofs.

Hopefully this will help.
