Question on Savage SA scope bases

Someoldguy

I am looking for a one-piece Savage scope base for a SA model 10/12/16 with accutrigger.

The only ones I have located thus far are Leupold's and they only fit pre-accutrigger models with the flat area at the rear of the receiver. I'm not real crazy about the dovetail scope rings, either.

If I have missed something, I would GREATLY appreciate a hint about where to look.

Thanks for looking.

Nightforce makes a “Standard Duty” model that will work. I have it on several on my Savage based rifles. Search EBay for “Savage scope base” and you will find this and others that will work.

Best to choose picatinny over weaver. It's a mill spec standard that allows for interchangeability of scopes from rifle to rifle.

How about a Weaver Picatinny? :D

Picatinny.
And remember the forward (muzzle) screw must be shorter so as not to hit the barrel threads.

Picatinny and Weaver Rails have the SAME PROFILE. Picatinny rails are a military standard with specific spacing. ... For the most part, weaver accessories will usually fit on a picatinny rail but picatinny accessories will often NOT fit on a weaver rail.

I like the night force.
I mill the front hang down though

Yep....though I had never taken the time to find the difference til now. https://www.brownells.com/aspx/learn/learndetail.aspx?lid=10724
By the way, my Weaver in the pic above has slots cut to “picatinny” dimensions of .206 inches.
Apologies for the thread drift.
