Question on savage LRPV

I just purchased one of these in a 12 twist 6BR I plan on removing the barrel and keeping it and sell off the action and stock.

What is a fair asking price for one of these actions and the stock?

Have you had a look-see down that barrel yet with a bore-scope?
Those things can be a "chattered" mess, to say the least....

I just sent out payment for the rifle today. I'll check it out once it comes in, I do hope it's a usable barrel as I have plans of running a dasher reamer down it to shoot the 87 grain vmax bullets.

Most shooters I know that have a LRPV, me included, chunk the factory barrel and use a Shilen. Am I missing something?

I have another in a 6BR with an 8 twist I just wanted to use the 12 twist barrel from one and rechamber it to a dasher.

It may be a total waste of time and money but I thought I'd give it a try

its usually the other way around....yank the factory tube...keep the action/stock...install an aftermarket tube

Ya gotta be kidding? It's a 6 BR 12 twist off of a LRPV

Yes it is. I put a Shilen 9 twist on it. Shoots 105's rather well.
