Question about Tikka 595 and T3 rifles

I own a 595 and would like to know if a T3 barreled action would fit and bolt into the same 595 stock? Any first hand knowledge greatly appreciated. I'm left handed it that matters, and I'm talking about both actions being Lefty. Thanks....

Hi. No, it will not. I make stocks for both. The 595 action is a flat bottomed action. The T3 has a rounded bottom with flat sides. The 595 is the bottom action in this pic.

This is the T3

Also, the recoil lugs are completely different set ups.
I have a factory t3 stock in left hand, if you need one.

I really appreciate the help. I'm looking at buying a T3 but didn't know if it would fit in the 595 prone stock I already have. Was hoping to have 2 barreled actions using one stock. Thanks

Look for a cheap, old 595 on Gunbroker and rebarrel it. You'll have a great shooter! I do it.

Yes it may come to that. Here's the rest of the story. I bought a Bernard trigger that fits a T3 rifle hoping it would fit on my 595 action. It does not. No one that I know of offers a decent 2 stage trigger for the 595. I've been shooting the Tikka tuned trigger and it's good, but in a prone rifle it leaves much to be desired. So, do I sell the 595 action and have Alex Sitman rework the stock to fit a T3 action and use the Bernard trigger? Or, do I buy the T3 sporter (with the nice stock) and just put my Bernard trigger on it? I'd have to re barrel it anyway because it only has a 20" barrel (6.5x55) Gotta love left handed problems

Cant add much to the thread, but show some pics pf yoyr 595. I went with a T3 sporter a few years ago, I liked it so much I bought a second one. I also put a Barnard into one, I have since changed it to a silhouette heavy rifle instead of prone shooting.

Good to know. I just put a bid on a T3 sporter, LH 20" threaded barrel 6.5x55. Think I'm gonna really like it. Will probably have a second 28-30" barrel cut same caliber to switch back and forth.
