Q.Stiller Diamondback Action info

Hi wondering if anyone here built a 308win on a Stiller Diamondback action? I'm looking for feedback regarding torque cant and recoil lug. Shooting heavy bullets 185s, 210+ in an 11 or 10 twist barrel.

Are you using a recoil lug? Is a recoil lug needed for this action or is the square (recoil) tang enough for this purpose and is the flat on the bottom of the action enough to manage the high torque of a heavy bullet in a fast twist barrel?

Your feedback and any additional info you have on this action is much appreciated. Thanks it advance!

In my opinion you will need a recoil lug unless it will be glued into the stock. You should discuss this with your gunsmith and go with what he recommends. The flat on the bottom of the action is not a recoil lug. It is there to provide more and flat surface for bedding/gluing the action in.

Could anyone give me a comparison between the stiller predator single shot versus the Diamondback. Other than the predator being rem footprintand can use rem parts, is the diamondback tighter bolt tolerances worth the extra dollars our any more accurate if compared side by side? Having a tough time deciding between the two for an f class (ftr) build.
