Forum Boss: We do NOT allow VPN, Apple Private Relay, TOR or Proxy.

If the issue is WiFi only, it is NOT our server that is the issue. Try shutting off your Wifi modem (after being sure you have the PASSWORD!!!) , then Reboot. That may activate a different, better Wifi connection. Again -- do NOT turn off your Modem unless you know the login credentials.

I have AT&T internet and this has been an on/off problem for several years. They claim it's not on their end but if I turn off wifi everything works on cellular. These are the messages I getScreenshot (19).pngScreenshot (18).png

too many people here and not out shooting... loading the system or one between you and this site. I get it from time to time and 2-5min later it's back.

Oops, helps if I actually read all your post. Yeah that's either your wireless at home or on their end at ATT if you can simply disable wireless and over cell it works fine.

This happens to me after clearing cookies (running C Cleaner). It doesn't happen at first but about in the middle of a visit or even the 2nd visit, usually when clicking on an interesting post or 257 Roberts brass for sale. o_O

Most times after going somewhere else on the web & coming back all is sorted out... usually. Sometimes it recurs 2 or 3x before working normally again. Correlation is not necessarily causation, but it only happens for me after clearing cookies.

Clear you cookies...use duck duck go and hit the fire button
love duck duck go, both for android and also their browser extensions. The e-mail aliases are super handy.

On the OP's issue
another thought might be if someone else at home on your wireless is using lots of resources. I see it at home when both my wife is streaming and the youngest visits and is doing the same from his phone. Both have newer devices with really fast wireless so they can saturate the home wifi at times and I'll get a timeout error.

the other of course is that one or more of your devices is compromised and sending out traffic you're not aware of. It's pretty common for bad actors to use compromised devices for DOS attacks which would also explain the error.

Hmm, that's interesting. The wife's laptop is a spam magnet. I'll turn it off next time and see what happens

its the bug causing all the problems:eek:
seriously i have ATT wireless for phone and another company fir fiber internet in the house. sometimes logging on here i get the txt page with the layout of the site. dont know why--- sometimes site wont load- mabie maintence being done then- usually when i log off and back on it works

Worth a try. There were sites I tried to access and got the "Too many Request" message, shut down the VPN and all worked good. Let us know if it helps.

The issue is NOT the number of users. We pay for a very expensive cloud server with vastly more capacity than is required even for the busiest times.

One issue may be if you have not cleared the cookies and history on your browser in many months or years. What is then happening is that your phone or your Computer is trying to load thousands of threads and thousands of images.

Bitdefender has an automatic vpn but it says I'm not connected to it so who knows. I'm trying the DuckDuckGo browser now, but I think it's an AT&T problem. Every once in a while I'll get the Securi firewall message

PLEASE Read this: For security reasons, to protect against scammers we do NOT allow VPN service. This is enforced with a list of VPN types.

We have seen multiple VPN connections by Rick300 plus his connection is bouncing around from multiple states. It appears he is running some kind of software VPN -- that is probably most of the problem. Here are some of his connections in past week.
