PV .224 69gr seconds?

Just getting around to loading these from last year. The OAL to ogive is inconsistent. I loaded some 77s and these were a lot better. The 77s are supposed to be Nosler seconds bought about 5 years ago from a different source. PV wouldn't say if these 69s were Nosler seconds.

I ran out of other 69s, presumably Nosler seconds, and they shot sub MOA. Looks like I might have to sort to see how much they vary.

Unfortunately, I have had the SAME experience with that brand of seconds as well.

Actually quit buying that brand because of the amount of reloading bench time to remotely scrape some groups together.

The prices of these seconds, are very close to normal production.

Guys......that is why they are seconds ! You know where seconds come from? Every time a machine is started up, they pull product off, as well as at intervals during a run. This is for QC. They don't put them back into the product run, but instead, sell them as seconds. You are going to see inconsistancies, as they are all mixed up from multiple runs of multiple machines.

I know why they are seconds that's not the point. Previous Noslers seconds shot sub MOA, but I don't know who made these PV 69s.

If these PV ones are Noslers then it's more than a just a cosmetic blemished bullet as previously sold.

Now how bout RMR 69s? Supposed to be new, not seconds, anyone try them?

I've shot about 50 so far. Group as well as SMK 69's.
I developed enough confidence to go in for 6,000.

Agree, but no reason to buy when the price is close to normal production.

I did a tour at rmr facility with the owner Jake. Nice guy and I’ve read many reviews about their 69s shooting great. He said they do 3 gun with them and shoot as well as any of the others with much higher priced bullets. This also goes for their 124gr multi purpose 9mm bullets. I’ll be working up a load for coyote hunting with them this fall/winter
