Pure accuracy…. 6br vs 6dasher vs 6GT

Anything wrong with using Varget? I thought Varget and a 105 was the magic sauce for a Dasher. Obviously there is more than one way to get great results
How long is your barrel?

If your rifle likes Varget, by all means, let it eat. I've had good results with Varget. The RL powders give me equal precision with more velocity options and lower pressures. The latter leads to better brass and barrel life.

There are many ways to skin a cat.

ETA - My Dasher barrels are 30 inches.

With cartridges this close the reamer will make the difference. If you have a hot 6BR reamer it will beat the others. If you have a hot Dasher reamer it will beat the others. The importance of a really good reamer is big than the differences in these cases.

Define a “Hot” reamer? A reamer maker will/ can steer u in the direction of clearances that have been successful for the discipline u are shooting. If u are talking strictly about benchrest shooting, many competitors are always experimenting with different dimensions looking for some magic. AKA a “ Hot” reamer!
I would ask, how do u know if u have a “Hot” reamer or a “ Hummer “ barrel! With my BRX reamer, I have chambered a dozen bbls. and all have been competitive. Two of those bbls. were outstanding, head n shoulder above the others ( consistently high X counts).
A third component that has been a variable is bullets. We have all come across that batch of bullets that just shoot small. U save those for the big matches.
Just curious about how to determine that it is the reamer that is the key to really great shooting.

Deer/varmints out to 500. I’d be pretty happy to shoot 10 shots into a 1” circle at 100 yards. Steel targets out to 900. Pretty sure the dasher is what I want, especially with lapua about to drop brass.

And Lapua also has brass now. No waiting for 6 br and 6 gt. Used both. Br solid good to go. 6 gt been using lately and I’ve switched over to it for now 600/1000 FB am very happy with it. Small groups and easy to load just like 6 br is.
