HmmHello.
Quick question. I haven't had a need to buy new brass in at least 6 yrs..i kind of have what i need.
I was looking at a rifle in a caliber i dont own yet so i search for brass availability
(IS ALL BRASS SOLD IN LOTS OF 50? NOW)
since when did this crap start..is brass a freaking precious commodity now.
just how much are people willing to pay before they say the hell with this..time for new hobby.
who the hell buys brass in little bags of 50 that isnt 50 BMG.. thats just gay, ans stupid
Thank god i dont need primers.
Does any one carry bulk brass..or is evey one acting likes ( oh its run out, we cant possibly keep up with demands) ..more BS..they kept up with demand just fine durring times of war..now they sit on there ass and run out. Is that what we are to believe .tell me another one
Oh im sure some clown has a pointless convoluted explanation that leads no place but the beginning of another lie.
Bobcat- the sour reloader
Bags of 50 Get Bent
What's a social filter?Yeah guys ..im no poet, and when im passionate about something i dont like it F#$k with..you know what i mean..it just gets old.and im at that age when my social filters are worn out and full of holes..so i say whats on my mind.
Its not always popular. I apologize .
I thought i was looking at a box of those threaded hornady case measures , when i seen the price..not hornady brass. Hahaha.
And ive only ever seen boxes of 50pc reloading brass for something like 338 weatherby mag or something kind of special..
Now all of a sudden oh its all sooo special..
the shelves are full at all the guns ahops in my area..absolutely no shortage of anything but employee.
i wanted to check and makes sure this was a legit thing.
Remember when there was a 22lr shortage . One week is was 16$ for a box of federal 333bullets..then the shelves were empty..then stores actually sold them in baggies of 25 bullets per customer in our area.. next thing ya know the shelves are stocled up and it 45$ a box..
I wouldnt put it past some one to buy brass in bulk and try selling it in baggies of 25 next..
Like those folks who bought up all the toilet paper during covid in some town.
I simply wont buy it..thats simple..its better to leave more for a fellow shooter then it is for me to sit at the reloading bench in a bad mood..that simply is not allowed and unacceptable..
how could any one be in a bad mood reloading.
Maybe start in a bad mood but finishe calm, cool, and collected.
thanks guys
At the local air national gard base, we had to tear down a old building and build a new one to use for a different purpose. The government says they can only have so many square feet of buildings, does not care about cost. And now that LC just tore down some buildings that were producing ammo and stuffing the machines into the other buildings that were making ammo is going to cause even more disruption to available ammo. They are building a new building to house the making of the new 277 round. Instead of moving to the empty part of the property to build the new building, they tear down the existing building and start it on the same spot.
Govt in action.
Here's some numbers to chew on. A box of 50 virgin cases on average, lasts me about 6 years and I shoot 2 to 3 times a week at the range and hunt varmints and predators.
This shooting is rotated over 10 different 223 Bolt rifles with each rifle having its own group of dedicated cases. I get 18 reloads out of case before I retire them. 50x18 = 900 reloads. I shoot about 100 to 150 rounds out of each rifle (10 round range matches) that equates about 6 years (900/150).
I also F/L every time however with minimal bump, only the amount necessary for proper chambering. So much for the myth that F/L reduces case life.
I don’t think some look past the classifieds here, pretty unbelievable.I see we’re still talking about price gouging by venders…… I love this site and most of the members are top notch but I remember not two months ago Lapua 6br blue box selling for $180/100 on this site!… by members hollering on threads about price gouging!… really?…. You bought that brass for maybe $80/100 so what do you call that?….. even after Whidden Gun works got a shipment in on the 24th of October of this year for $125/100 I still saw $175-180/100 from sellers on this site!… over $100/100 or less than 100 for multiple x fired 6br brass!…. This kind of multi standard nonsense makes me laugh.
